Lynn E. Walker, D.Min. M.S.Ed., M.A. serves as the Managing Director for Housing Programs and Property Management, at Housing Works, Inc., in Brooklyn, New York. She has responsibility for four housing programs intended for homeless New Yorkers who are living with HIV/AIDS, along with mental health and substance use issues.
For several years, she served as a volunteer counselor at the LGBT Community Center in Manhattan. More recently, at the (Episcopal) Church of Saint Luke in the Fields, she chaired the AIDS Project and coordinated a Saturday evening Arts Program for Homeless and Street youth. She was a founding board member of the Ali Forney Center in Manhattan, which provides housing and supportive services for homeless LGBT youths.
Her graduate work has focused on Medieval Literature, Counseling, Military Science, Education, and Theology. In 2007, she earned the Doctor of Ministry at the Graduate Theological Foundation in South Bend.
