Paulette A. HeathPaulette Heath has over 20 years of sales, sales management, sales operations, project management, as well as community education and liaison experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

She is currently the National Policy and Advocacy Director for Infectious Diseases with Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems Inc. In this position she is responsible for the development and implementation of the HIV and viral hepatitis strategic business and grassroots advocacy in response to the changing policy environment and to help ensure payer (public and private) and environmental access to care and treatment. She focuses on the building and strengthening of long-term relationships to partner with key customers such as national advocates to influence policies.

Prior to her current position Paulette worked in a similar role with Janssen Therapeutics which is a division of Johnson & Johnson. Before Johnson & Johnson, she was a Patient and Community Affairs Manager with Bristol-Myers Squibb Virology (BMSV) servicing the HIV community in Maryland, DC, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. In this position, she served the HIV community through peer-to-peer education, information dissemination, technical assistance and program/infrastructure development with a specialization in faith-based and African American initiatives.

Prior to her position with BMSV, Paulette spent time at Novartis and DuPont Pharmaceuticals. She worked in various therapeutic areas, such as infectious disease, cardiovascular and neurology. She also worked part time for the State of Delaware as an HIV Public Health Treatment Program Administrator for the Department of Minority Health, as well as a state-certified HIV Counselor/Tester and Community Educator for the Community Based Organization.

She received her MBA in Management Information Systems from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where she was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma, National Honor Society for Schools of Business. She earned her BS in Medical Technology from Wayne State University as well.

Paulette currently resides in the Charlotte area of North Carolina with her husband, Leonard Newby Jr.
